The Minister for Trade and Industry on Friday, April 30, 2021, briefed the members of the Council of State on the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area(AfCFTA).
The purpose of the meeting was in accordance with article 91(3) of the 1992 Constitution, for an interactive session on the import of AfCFTA and its potential benefit for Africa’s development.
Mr Alan Kwadow Kyeremanten used the opportunity to brief Council members on the key components of AfCFTA and the enormous impact it could have on the economies of the continent if probably harnessed.
He further told them that Ghana’s role in the realization of AfCFTA, the advantages that accrue to us as a host nation, and how to optimize these gains for our people’s benefit.
