The seasoned politician, astute lawyer, an economist and an international trade expert remains the topmost long-serving party member who is tipped for the position of a flag bearer in the impending presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Loyalty! His loyalty and commitment to party activities is impeccable and unquestionable in record time. As a Founding Member of the New Patriotic Party, he was there at the formation and contributed in great measure undisclosed financial resources, his expertise in shaping the course of the party and logistics that went a long way to rejuvenate activism at the grassroot.
Experience! With his rich background in international trade, he has been the longest serving Trade Minister in the Fourth Republic spanning a period of twelve (12) years. He has been a cabinet minister in NPP one under Kufour and under Nana Addo. This is an enviable rich experience that’s unmatched. His international exposure and connectivity make him an outstanding personality who is fit for the job.
Achievement! It must be put on record that the One-District, One-Factory (1D1F) industrialization drive policy by the NPP government is his brain child that has tremendously created enormous direct and indirect jobs for the teething unemployed Ghanaian youth. He has supervised the injection of capital into both state and private businesses through the Government Private Partnership to keep these businesses from folding-up or running at half capacity.
Acceptability! The brand Alan has become a household name which has earned him the catch phrase “AlanCash” and the mantra “Yenim no firi tete” He’s the most popular amongst the rank and file of the NPP who have so far expressed interest to contest the presidential primaries, and he’s surely tipped to succeed Nana Akuffo Addo when he ends his tenure of office. There’s a clarion call by the grassroot to elect Hon. Alan Kyeremateng at the presidential primaries to break the old age convention of changing government every eight (8) years because of his loyalty and commitment to the party he helped nurture.
