The New Patriotic Party has canceled the run-off slated for Saturday.
The decision to cancel the run-off is based on the withdrawal of one of the aspirants Boakye Agyarko from the race.
Boakye Agyarko and Addai Nimo both had 9 votes in Saturday’s super delegates congress.
As stipulated in their guidelines for the elections a run-off was to be held to break the tie.
The NPP yesterday announced that only National Council members were to vote in the run-off.
This did not go down well with Boakye Agyarko who described the decision as unconstitutional and subsequently withdrew.
The NPP has therefore canceled the run-off.
Francis Addai-Nimoh automatically adds up to Dr. Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kyeremanteng, and Dr. Afriyie Akoto to make the five for the 4 November presidential candidate elections.
