WE KNOW THE TRUTH. Don’t hide behind the name Dombo for your campaign. Dombo was the very person the Father of Dr Bawumia betrayed,jxt because he was promised an appointment from our political opponents.
POINT OF CORRECTION,THE FATHER OF DR. BAWUMIA WAS NDC BUT NOT DOMBO
The Father of Dr. Bawumia, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia served under Rawlings as Ghana Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The Father of Dr. Bawumia again served as Chairman of Council of State under J.J Rawlings.
In all the Father of Dr. BAWUMIA served Rawlings and the PNDC/NDC for over 20 years.
He was still an active member of NDC and a high profile advisor to Rawlings against the NPP Presidential candidate Prof. Adu Boahen and candidate J.A Kuffour during the 1992,1996 and the year 2000 Presidential elections respectively.
Please I need a simple YES or NO answer;
Could the Dombo Tradition have existed today if S.D Dombo had also crossed carpet in Parliament in exchange for a political appointment from our political opponents?
- FACT
But the Father of Dr. Bawumia, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, however BETRAYED the DOMBO Tradition for Ministerial appointments and Crossed Carpet in Parliament to join the CPP. - FACT
As a reward for BETRAYING the Dombo Tradition by Crossing Carpet in Parliament to join the CPP, the Father of Dr. Bawumia was appointed as the Regional Commissioner of Northern Region and Minister of Local Government under Nkrumah. - FACT
Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia abandoned the NPP again by working with J.J Rawlings as Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. - FACT
The father of Dr. Bawumia also served as the Chairman of Council of State under J.J Rawlings between 1992 to the year 2000, when the NPP was still struggling in opposition.
In all the father of Dr Bawumia served the PNDC and NDC over 20 years under Rawlings.
POINT OF CORRECTION – THE FATHER OF DR. BAWUMIA WAS NOT DOMBO BUT NDC
FACT
It is an established fact that S.D Dombo was promised a Ministerial appointment if he agreed to join the CPP.
“Chief Dombo was not given to hocus-pocus. Even in the most difficult times when many a politician would throw principles to the dogs, he passed the test of LOYALTY to himself and his political tradition, which is today referred to as the Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition. Not even juicy promises of high political appointments that dangled before him could get him to resign from his party and JOIN THE CONVENTION PEOPLE’S PARTY (CPP)…” (emphasis mine)
