The great leader of truth and honesty posits it this way “No honest person can say that there’s no difficulty in Ghana, as I have said earlier, we have not performed bad as a government, but the hardship in the system currently is making it quite difficult for the NPP to put together a manifesto message for election 2024”.
I dare the nationalistic, patriotic and truthful in Ghana, political or apolitical, to contest the above rendition of the Venerable Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen. You may not be a fan of him, you may support his vision and ambition, but in the glare face of objectivity, neutrality and honesty, the disposition of Mr Kyerematen remain sacrosanct, undisputed and unquestioned.
It comes with no surprise, that President Akufo Addo has openly admitted that things are tough in Ghana, the Vice President has done same.
The finance minister has made it clear without a smidgeon of ambiguity, that if the IMF does not come to our aide by March 2023, our economy will crash. Known finance experts have alluded to same narrative, Civil Society Organizations, International Bodies, the Ghanaian, middle class, employed and unemployed, are all registering their sufferings, hardship and difficulties in public.
The latest on the trend is our erstwhile Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Sophia Akufo who joined pensioners to picket the Ministry of Finance to register their plights and sad concerns about the inclusion of retirees in the infamous Domestic Debt Exchange Program-DDEP.
You can be vituperative, manipulative and insensitive to the endeavors of the Ghanaian, but never forget the technological dynamism of modern day politics, currently, it is game of records, facts and figures, so your penchant for recognition in the camp of your chosen candidate should come with a measured quota of decorum, reasoning and appreciation of the realistic realities of our economy, inflation and financial positioning of our country.
Even your in your detest for truth and honesty, I admonish you, henceforth, whatever platform given you, whether traditional or new media, appreciate that it is a privilege, so drop your capricious, whimsical and impulsive stints, and know that your listeners or readers ain’t in the dark but informed and learned.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen will continue to engage and interact with party people, stakeholders and the Ghanaian people in absolute truth and honesty.
It is not by fluke that majority refer to him as a man of Credibility, Competence and Character.
